The fill basis matters: Easy Set pools are rated at 80% of the wall, most frame pools at 90%, and a few pages don't say. The last numeric column compares Intex's figure with plain geometry of the nominal size, so you can see how much the box size overstates the volume.

Easy Set vs frame pools: why inflatable rings hold less
An Easy Set pool has a single inflatable ring on top and walls that lean in as the water pushes them out, so the water surface is narrower than the ring. Intex's Easy Set capacities come in at 0.823–0.896 of simple geometry, even after allowing for the 80% fill. Frame pools (Metal Frame, Prism Frame, Ultra XTR) have near-vertical walls; their ratios run from 0.856 to 1.000.
Two practical results. First, never assume two "12 ft" pools hold the same amount of water: the Easy Set 12 ft × 30 in is rated at 1,485 gallons, the Metal Frame and Prism Frame 12 ft × 30 in at 1,718 gallons. Second, an Easy Set rated at 80% will hold more if you fill it higher, so your real volume can be higher than the rating. If your doses keep overshooting or undershooting, measure your water depth and use the estimate below.
Chlorine per 1 ppm for each model
Most weekly chlorine top-ups are 1 to 3 ppm, so this table gives the amount for +1 ppm; multiply by the ppm you need. Liquid chlorine percent is the trade percent on the jug; bleach percent is by weight, as printed on the label. Use plain, unscented bleach.

1 tsp = 1/6 fl oz. Pools with the same capacity share a row. Chlorine loses strength in storage, so an old jug needs more; retest 30 minutes after adding. Always follow the product label.
