The table below holds the Coleman Power Steel sizes where a store listing gave a "water capacity" figure. None of these came from a page owned by Coleman, so we call them listed values, not confirmed ones. One listing, the 22 ft × 52 in, has the same figure as Bestway USA's own rating for its 22 ft × 52 in Power Steel on the Bestway pool page, which supports it.

"At 90%" means the maker rates the pool at 90% of its full volume, as the listings word it. Other Coleman sizes (for example 16 ft × 42 in, 20 ft × 48 in, 24 ft × 52 in and the 26 ft × 12 ft oval) showed conflicting numbers in listings, so we left them out rather than guess.

Calculator: gallons for your Coleman
Choose your Coleman size if it is listed, or enter its diameter (or length and width) and wall height. A rated capacity is lower than a full pool because pools are not filled to the top rail. Fill height matters: if you fill your pool lower than the maker's line, use the actual depth, not the listed volume.
How to choose chemicals by volume
Every dose is a number per gallon, so a wrong volume means a wrong dose. Here is the plain way to do it for any Coleman:
- Find your pool's capacity in the tables above, or measure and use the calculator.
- Enter that number in the pool chemical calculator with your test readings.
- Read the dose with the product name and strength. Use that exact product, since 6% bleach and 12.5% liquid chlorine need very different amounts.
- Add chemicals one at a time with the pump running, as the label says.
The nearest ready-made dose sheets are 4,000 gallons (for the 16 ft × 10 ft oval at about 3,600), 6,000 gallons (the 18 ft × 48 in) and 10,000 gallons (the 22 ft × 52 in). Each sheet is for the volume in its name, so your pool will differ a little. A result from the calculator with your exact capacity is closer. Always follow the product label.
Pump and filter
Store listings say the 16 ft × 10 ft oval comes with a 1,000 gal/h pump, and the 22 ft × 52 in with a pump that takes a Type IV cartridge. Bestway USA, whose site also sells Coleman Power Steel liners, uses Type IV-B for its 2,500 gal/h pump. Oval, Funsicle and SaluSpa
- Oval pools: only the 16 ft × 10 ft × 48 in above is on our list. Capacities for other Coleman ovals were inconsistent in listings.
- Funsicle: we could not confirm gallons for any Coleman Funsicle size. These are small kids' pools, so for chemistry see kiddie pool chlorine.
